Obama moves into the lead in national polls! Let's make this the moment where the tide turns and we don't look back....
Five very encouraging national polls are projecting good news for the Obama campaign. Enclosed here is a link to Josh Marshall's TPM site, where you can access the specifics.

Sarah Palin just learned that what goes up must come down. Obviously we aren't in a position to be overconfident, but this may be the moment when the tide turns in the right direction. Palin's short romance with Big Media is headed for a bitter divorce. McCain isn't likely to enjoy many more weeks of positive media coverage, as his lies have pushed many of the mainstream media people to the breaking point, and they are no longer acting as his personal stenographers. The Straight Talk Express has crashed.
The PUMA's have officially been declared an Irrelevant Species, as the powerful convention speeches by Bill and Hillary put to rest lingering notions of discord within the Democratic Party. Obama racked up $66 million in campaign contributions in August, and grassroots volunteers are beating the streets from the redwood forest to the gulfstream waters, reaching out to unregistered voters. The powerful women's group NOW has taken the unusual step of offering it's endorsement to Barack Obama. Labor unions across the country are putting their resources and manpower behind our candidate.
There is much to celebrate, and it's time to cease the nervous chatter. If anyone had told us a year ago that we would be in this position we would have jumped for joy.
