Many of us have watched in dismay how the wealthy Republican Party faithful who have been influencing the happenings in Washington have blatantly refused to share in carrying the burden of their fellow Americans even when majority of them claim to be followers of Jesus Christ- who is seen by Christians as the savior of the world, and to others a community organizer who happens to encounter the human but limited power of a Governor called Pilate resulting in his being put to death.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ teaching will understand that the sacred scripture requires of us the essentiality of keeping the commandment of God which is love of God and love of thy neighbor. The later has to do with the moral obligation of those who are more fortunate giving a helping hand to the less privilege for the sake of God.
In my summation the argument about McCain insisting that the current tax break for the most wealthy citizens and corporations that does not need them conspicuously negate the very essence of the biblical teaching of to whom much is given much is required. Of what use is a rich man that can not help his community to be better of?
Biden was right and so was Obama in articulating the plan that will cut tax for the Americans that are barely surviving and counting on the understanding and patriotism of those who are too rich for comfort to come to their aid by paying a little bit more in other to keep the country afloat.
America as a nation is abundantly blessed and privileged hence its capacity to help other nations including of recent the state of Georgia in which it sent humanitarian goods to that country sequel to that country’s confrontation with Russia. Does this action of the United States of America by any way define it as a socialist country? The answer is emphatically no and on the contrary, America is only performing its natural and statutory responsibility of to whom much is given much is required.
We are bless to be a blessing to others and if the Republican Party that claim to know God or in fact the God’s party does not understand the simple responsibility that the same God has called us to bear and share with others, how much hypocrisy can one attribute to its call for fiscal responsibility. With God it is either all or none, period; there is no selectivity in the manner that the incumbent have treated some of the financial companies in which some have declared bankruptcy, while others are being funded by the government.
It is now time for the Republican Party and their faithful including McCain and companies to be honest with their convictions and belief and emulate Obama’s call for tax reform and transformation of the country in a holistic perspective as opposed to the prevailing ad hoc scenarios we are witnessing day by day.
God bless USA
God bless Obama & Biden
