I've been wondering since the roll-out of the Palin fiasco on Thursday, as to whether the McCain team will allow her to be interviewed by reporters from newspapers and newschannels.
Will she be interviewed for a full hour on Meet The Press? Will she be interviewed on This Week With George Staphyloccus? Will she be interviewed by the Washington Post? The New York Times? The Los Angeles Times? Will the McCain team allow the media to interview her for the benefit of the country? Can she stand up to the test of scrutiny like Senator Biden has?
Doesn't America deserve a chance to hear Palin's words on the issues of abortion, contraception, Alaska's secession from the United States, her thoughts--whatever they are--on Iran, Iraq, the Middle East, Israel, the foreign trade situation with China? Don't we, the voters, deserve to hear her words and to see her being interviewed by the press?
The longer the McCain team hides her away from the press, it seems like she's just a trophy prize--all show and no sizzle--for the conservative base. The fact they need her to shore up the conservative base is a very troubling sign, and one that the press has barely touched upon.
We, the American people, the voters in the lower 49 "lowly" states, deserve to know who Sarah Palin is and what her beliefs are that would impact America if McCain were to die in the Oval Office for some reason.
