About a year ago, Barack Obama announced that he was going to run for President of the United States. He put together a campaign. Obama is the chief executive of that campaign. How well you run a campaign often tells how well you will run a government.
As executive of his own campaign, Obama is responsible for employees, volunteers, advertising, accounting, rules, fundraising, information dissemination, media relations, meeting a payroll, etc... It is much harder to run a presidential campaign than it is a company like Hewlett Packard. In fact running a presidential campaign is the equivalent of running a major US corporation. (The same holds true for McCain.)
From this executive experience Barack Obama has demonstrated to Americans that he is prepared and ready to be President. Obama is organized, diligent, intelligent, meticulous, and delegates tasks well while still being able to make quick and firm decisions. He'll do the same as President.
The most important executive decision a person running for president makes is his or her selection of a vice president. On this front Barack Obama earned an A- and McCain earned an F- to the nth degree.
When picking a VP an executive should establish a vetting committee which gathers information from applicants in full confidence, leaks nothing to outsiders, and diligently goes through applicants until making solid recommendations. As an executive Obama performed this task with A+ superiority and chose a nominee who compliments him perfectly and is prepared to be President on day one should anything unthinkable occur.
Contrast Obama's selection to the pick of Sarah Palin by John "he doesn't speak for the McCain campaign" McCain who selected the wingnut Palin even though McCain wanted Lieberman or Ridge.
When you select a person like Sarah Palin who is the queen of earmarks and corruption, who believes rape victims should pay for their own rape kits, who brazenly lies without blinking, who reads John Birch Society magazines for leisure, who quotes notorious neo Nazi Westbrook Peglar word for word, who cuts funding for special needs children in half while pretending to be an advocate, who supports government abuse of power as evidenced by Troopergate, who denies global warming's existence, who turned a small town surplus into a 20 million dollar debt, who asked a librarian if she would ban books, who opposes abortion in cases of rape or incest, who believes the war in Iraq is god's will, and who is supportive of a pastor who engaged in an actual witchhunt, then you as the executive decision maker are unqualified to be the executive any longer.
The Palin pick demonstrates to Americans 7 primary reasons why John McCain is unfit to be President.
- McCain lacks judgment.
- McCain Doesn't even run nor speak for his own campaign.
3 McCain is a Panderer/Opportunist.
- McCain is way outside the mainstream.
- Mccain will say or do anything to win.
- She's just like Bush/Cheney thus McCain is more of the same.
- McCain is so weak he can't even pick the guy he wanted.
Obama has a year of executive experience as does McCain. There is no doubt as to who is the better executive.
