I haven't monitored all of the networks, but has anyone asked Mitt Romney how he is doing personally in this downturn?
I am not shedding any tears for these guys, but many of his friends and co-investors have lost hundreds of millions of dollars of personal wealth in the past few weeks, both from the collapse of energy futures and the collapse of the investment banks, where many of them stashed their money.
These stories are starting to come out in the press, and the size of the personal losses is amazing. The print NY Times had a Sunday story listing sixteen "Shareholders at the Top" who have taken "huge hits" in recent days (page 6 in my business section).
I'm sure Mitt is not going to be on the soup line, but it is likely that he personally lost many millions of dollars in the last weeks. Would he admit it if he did?
This works both ways. If he was a "normal" mega-investor, then he is likely many millions poorer today. If he is not, then what did he know and when did he know it?
