I feel that as a citizen of this country, extortion is being used by Henry Paulson to demand money that would benefit him, and many of his friends and acquaintances. Just as Cheney helped his friends at Halliburton, Paulson wants to grab some big cash before he leaves office.
I know that when one person wants to sue someone, they need legal standing, and I feel that every taxpayer in the country would have legal standing to challenge the extortion by Secretary Paulson. The definition of extortion is rather straightforward,

which is exactly what he is trying to do.
I always see extortion when it relates to professional football teams demanding money from a state, "or we will move are team to a different city", to build a stadium. I know the threat that the world will collapse if this is not done immediately is rather silly, but Paulson will be leaving office in just a few months, what will he do after he leaves, besides rake in tons of cash. Cenk Uygur from The Young Turks had one of the best points, he made $40 million in compensation, and is worth about $500 million, does anyone seriously think that this will not line his pockets when he leaves office. It is a safe bet to believe he has investments that will benefit greatly from the bailout.
Is it possible to sue Hank Paulson for extortion?
