Wow, McSame is taking some hits this week!
New Rasmussen Poll puts Obama up
Obama: 50 (48)
McCain: 45 (50)
Rasmussen Reports
The current poll marks the first time that either candidate has had more than a two-point advantage in Virginia since May. George W. Bush won Virginia by eight percentage points in 2000 and 2004, but Democrats have focused on Virginia this year as a red state they hope to peel away from Republicans.
Just nine percent (9%) of Virginia voters rate the economy as good or excellent while 57% say it is in poor shape. Just five percent (5%) say the economy is getting better; 83% say it is getting worse.
I believe Obama's campaign always had the best framework to win this election big. Sticking to the message of McCain as more of the same will give voters the framework to turn their back on four more years. It's exciting to see that the message is resonating in Virginia. It's difficult even for the least culturally tolerant voter to look at the countries economy crashing around them and still go for more of the same. In the end, it's about their life, the life of their children, and their grandchildren. American's like to vote for the future and McCain is increasingly looking just like the past.
This shows that all the journalists/analyst who've been racing to see this election in the framework of the last ones, that this is a different year. Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina are in play this year. This is a change election with a changed electoral map!
Update:
Florida numbers also out today
McCain: 48 (51)
Obama: 47 (46)
McCain is slippin' everywhere!
Update #2
Gallup is back in the real world after the freak tie of yesterday!
Obama 48 (46)
McCain 45 (46)
I'm bad at math but leaping to +3 in one day must mean that Obama had a VERY good night and McCain stunt is Phalin with the voters.
