During last nights debate McSame claimed he'd opposed Bush on torture. But, as I recall, he voted to pass the military commissions act of 2006 which authorizes water boarding. Which, correctly - for once, McSame decried as torture. After all, after WWII, the Japanese war crimes tribunal convicted some Japanese prison guards of torture because they waterboareded some American POWs.
However, when I tried to verify my recollection by going to the Senate website to find McSame's vote on the MCA, I was baffled. I couldn't figure out how to call up the votes for the 109th Congress. I could locate votes for the current Congress, 110th, but not the last one, the 109th.
Any suggestions on how to find out how McSame actually voted on the MCA?
