In the text releases of Palins speech tonight Gov Palin is expected to say:
"I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities."
While I could argue that she is mistaken and might not fully understand the role of a community organizer:
It occurs to me.
She is comparing her "executive experience" to experience that Senator Obama has prior to him becoming an elected official.
She was mayor Just 20 months ago, Senator Obama was first elected to his States Legislation on 1996.
To compare her experience with Obama's experience of over 12 years ago seems misleading, and in fact might serve to demonstrate exactly how unqualified she is.
When Senator Obama was registering 400k Afrian American voters in Illinois, Gov Palin was runing for City council of Wasilla and her only cited activity during that time is raising their sales tax.
Odd indeed.
An open mic debate does not really seem like a probability.
Im sure she's going to knock it out of the park and electrify the base :)
