Since John McCain no longer wants to answer tough questions from the media, maybe he will answer my question. OK. I'm not going to hold my breath. But here are my questions. I'd like to hear your's too.
- You have said that Governor Palin was fully vetted by your campaign. Would you please tell us when you first interviewed her as a potential VP candidate, when you received her full questionnaire, if and when the FBI vetted her for security clearance and when and where you made your final decision.
- Your wife and several people in your campaign have suggested that Governor Palin’s foreign policy credentials include her proximity to Russia. Since Russia is enlarging its wealth and ambition, expertise on Russia is desirable. Would you please tell us what kind of interaction she, personally, has had with Prime Minister Putin or any other member of the Russian leadership? What has she done to exercise her Russian expertise?
- In his speech to accept the nomination for the Democratic nomination, Senator Obama said that while the nation may be divided on the issue of abortion, we surely can reach consensus on reducing unwanted teenage pregnancies. Do you agree? What do you think are the key elements to reducing unwanted teenage pregnancies?
- Earlier this year you allowed a very limited viewing of your medical records. There was a limit as to the medical qualification of the viewer, the amount of time and the ability to make copies. Since there are those who question the qualifications of the Vice Presidential nominee, will you give full access to your medical records now?
- Senator Obama and Senator Biden have said that the children of candidates are off limits – no exceptions. In 1998 you joked that Chelsea Clinton was so ugly because Janet Reno was the father. What are your thoughts about Senator Obama and Senator Biden on this matter. Are they overly sensitive?
- Three years ago, a day after Katrina hit New Orleans, you famously celebrated your birthday with President Bush. This week you cancelled the President’s speech and the Vice President’s speech in anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Gustov. The major differences between your birthday in 2005 and the first day of the convention are the following: 1) In 2005, Bush’s approval rating was about 45% and now it is about 28%; 2) In 2005 there were about 1100 days before the election and now there are about 60 days before the election. 3) Katrina was a Category 5 hurricane and Gustov was a Category 2 hurricane. Wasn’t Gustov really an opportunity to keep yourself from the embarrassment of being near George W. Bush? Do you have any plans to appear in public with him or Dick Cheney before the election?
