I have been a reader of the Kos since 2003, first learning about the sight right around the time that Air America went national. Ever since then, the Kos has been a lifeline when the Republicans try to make liberals feel as if they are simply losing their minds.
Let's prove them wrong, and restore this great nation of ours together.

I signed up for an account back then, but was unable to access it. I would guess that there is a waiting period between signup and posting to keep right wing crackpots from coming in here and destroying what is our space.
I would consider myself a Bulldog Liberal, if there is such a thing. I'm not fully vicious about defending what I believe, but I will make you think twice. I am a bit revised in the classical sense of the word Liberal, as I believe in the Fiscal Conservative approach as pioneered by Bill Clinton. I sometimes support traditional values, but I want aggressive solutions to current problems that are adapted to what truly confronts us. If tradition stands in the way, then so long with the tradition.
As an amateur writer, I have long sought an outlet where I can share my thoughts with like minded individuals, and I hope that I can provide even more perspective to what I believe to be a wholly necessary outlet for the American voice. The Right just doesn't understand that everyone has a perspective, and if you disagree with their perspective, that doesn't give you the right to silence them.
Also, I am a bit of a philosopher in training, and welcome recommendations on new reading and authors that have already gone down the road in which I hope to travel. I hope to make lots of friends here, and maybe even begin a new chapter in my life in which I find a small stage on which to be debated, educated, and inspired inspired as well as teach, and encourage.
Thank you for reading,
