So I got around to reading Sarah Palin's VP acceptance speech. I would encourage everyone to actually go and take the 5 minutes to read the speech ... I wouldn't want to subject You to the 45 minutes that it took for her to deliver it. For me, anyway, 30 seconds into hearing her voice and I am reaching for the remote. [Interesting side story here, my wife voted against Al Gore in 2000 (with MANY apologies over and over and over) simply because she couldn't stand the way he talked -- my guess is that Sarah may have just as many converts]
But, I do want You all to go and read the text of her speech, because it reveals some critical information that really needs to be addressed, especially on the critical issues facing the US population.
Ok, first things first, and as such, this being a Democratic blog, I want to address the policies that she lays out for her party, and my rebuttal of these policies:

.......... ummmmm ... ok, I'll get back to You on these
Well, we all know that she ripped into the Obama campaign and delivered the Red Meat, so Let me debunk her Attacks on the Obama Policy:

..... ok, i promise to get back to You on this as well
I haven't been watching the talking head's this morning, but I gather that the Republican's have been saying that 'she hit it out of the park' Though I have to wonder exactly WHAT it was that she hit out of the park.
Eliminate the following from her speech:
- Lies
- Baseless Character Assassination
- Obfuscation
- Misdirection / Misrepresentation
- John McCain was a POW
- Sarah Palin has a Family and was a PTA member
One is left with NOTHING but conjunctions and participles.
When Rick Davis said the other day that this election isn't about Issues, he meant exactly that. They have no intention of talking about issues.
So, as You go about Your day either today or over the next several, and if the topic of Sarah Palin's VP Acceptance speech comes up, and someone says "I thought it was a great speech" -- Don't get all huffy and defensive ... just simply ask them ... "What EXACTLY did she say or propose that will make Your life better?" .... Drill, Baby, Drill?
I don't know about You, but after reading her speech, I have to admit I feel better ... Because, simply ... "They got NOTHIN"
