I was feeling pretty good up until now, but I am starting to get quite distressed about everything that has happened. Does anyone else feel that this election is slipping away?
I expected the positive reaction to Palin's speech last night, but now that it has actually happened, it's very upsetting. Right now, I am truly embarrassed to be an American. I think it's even worse than when Bush won both of his elections. Almost 90% of the country thinks the country is on the wrong track, and how do they want to fix it? By electing a ticket that is more crazy than the current one!
I was feeling more hopeful a week or two ago. When Obama picked Biden, I thought "Great, now we will attack the bastards!" And then Obama made the greatest speech I think I've ever heard last Thursday, and was feeling quite jovial again. But now everyone's forgotten about Obama's speech, and Biden says he doesn't want to attack. What the hell?!?
Why the hell is it that every election, the Democrats are in great shape to win big, and they blow it? Why do they never learn their lesson? They always want to talk about issues. Well, Americans don't care about issues - I guess they're just too dumb. If the Democrats don't learn to kick some ass, they are never going to win. And if they really can't win this year, what's the point?
Anyway, is anyone else feeling hopeless right now?
