It is possible for the Republicans to have an original idea?
Copycat Republicans

Barack Obama said "If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from." Apparently you also blatantly steal good ideas from your opponents. (More below the fold)
Now of course this isn't as big a deal as John McCain stealing the Change theme, but still I thought it was funny that Republicans seemed to like our convention so much they copied parts of it. That he had the audacity to try to say he can be the agent of change may have surprised some but not me. I've been living with Conservative hypocrisy since I was 13. (granted that was only 16 years ago) And I get double blasted with it because I live in Canada. So I get to hear the RNC bullshit on the U.S. stations and then I change channel to Global (our version of Fox News) and get to hear the CPC (Conservative Party of Canada) bullshit.
There used to be, used to be a difference between John McCain and George W. Bush, back in 2000 when McCain started seriously running for the Presidency. But after losing the nomination so many times to the far right candidate McCain sold himself out all Dennis Miller style and became the candidate we all know and hate today.
To say there's a political difference between John McCain and George W. Bush now is like telling someone they can get punched in the face by someone's left hand or right hand (in this case the dude would be ambidextrous) To paraphrase Lewis Black:
You have a choice between two bowls of shit (In this case Bush and McCain) the only difference is the smell.
So go ahead and steal our ideas Republicans, you'll just be validating we're the ones who know what we're doing in the first place.
