While not a religious Jew, I am still a Jew. typing those words, makes me cringe, not because of the I/P conflict, but because I know the word itself is as much a pejorative as k*ke or "ikey" or even "christkiller". As I read the diaries here on kos on the conflict in the middle east, it has become apparent that even a balanced view here doesn't wash. So, this Hebrew is out of here
Yes, Hebrew, I am not a "Judean" aka "Jew". I do not reside in Judea. I have pointed to sources showing how the qassams are packed with shrapnel, and no response - the qassams are designed to terrorize, not kill. and, if anyone saw, they didn't care. I pointed to the history of the partition showing how two States were created in 1948, and you don't care about history in the region before 1967. In fact, a simple question in an open thread was met with condescension. Fine. I Know when I'm not wanted, when my voice is not wanted. So, I'm leaving for the time being. I cannot bear the psychological pressure of having to decide if I am an American who is outraged at what Israel is doing (and not what the Arab League has wrought) or if I am a Jew more loyal to Israel than America because I support what Israel is doing. I am sick of the implied dual-loyalty canard played against my religious beliefs when I read/see no mention of any other "dual-loyalty" from other groups, like the American Irish who helped fund the IRA. Oh,no. Only we Jews are suspect in our loyalty. as it has ever been. as it ever will be.
There are only so many ways to say Jews are evil and the have all been said. So, until the war is over, I cannot take the psychological beating of killing God all over again.
I'll try not to let the door hit me in the ass on my way out.
