Dear members of the Daily Kos web community:
Based on an unforeseen overuse during the past fortnight, I've just been informed that we are currently experiencing a serious shortage of the capital letters "I" and "P" as well as the alphabetic virgule, "/".
Now, we are working hard to remedy this situation by having new shipments of the capital letters sent in from Laos (and YES we require the factory there to abide by wage and benefit packages commensurate with the ones we offer to the Oakland workers who mix the "orange"), but we're still reeling from the loss of a cargo-load of correctly spelled "flames" (hence all the "falmes") that were seized by those Somali pirates.
As for the virgules, we are frankly at a loss as to where to find a new provider.
We have had some talks with a Mom and Pop shop in Pensacola, "/ Я Us", but given the fact they are only used to producing a dozen virgules a week, we are not hopeful that they're a long range solution.
If anyone in the community has access to extra "/" or has experience in the field of "/" creation and distribution, PLEASE contact Sarah Fintertorp at extension 154 (or feel free to pull her aside during the "?" sensitivity training workshop at 5PM.)
We are asking, until the problem is remedies, to refrain from using said "I" and "P" and "/", especially in conjunction with each other, such as in the construction: "I/P".
(Oh, and while I've got you here, Julie from Marketing informs me there's a brown Toyota Corolla with a "My Other Car runs on hemp" bumper sticker that has its lights on.)
Thank you in advance for your patience and consideration,
Steward Beeterman, Vice President of Sans Serif Distribution.
