What happened to all those people who said there were no grounds to Impeach Bush?
The top Bush administration official in charge of deciding whether to bring Guantanamo Bay detainees to trial has concluded that the U.S. military tortured a Saudi national who allegedly planned to participate in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, interrogating him with techniques that included sustained isolation, sleep deprivation, nudity and prolonged exposure to cold, leaving him in a "life-threatening condition."
"We tortured [Mohammed al-]Qahtani," said Susan J. Crawford....
They were hilarious!
Wait, what's that you say? They didn't say there were no grounds? They said that it would be politically harmful? Ok, then. New question.
What kind of people put political advantage over the Rule of Law and presidential accountability? Especially when innocent people are being tortured to death.
Those people were hilarious too!
And for the hilarious people who said there were not enough votes...
Wouldn't it have been hilarious if the evidence of torture THAT IS NOW A GIVEN had come out earlier...through the investigation that Impeachment requires...and we could have stopped it? AND presented that evidence to the American People and Congress...and then let the republicans DEFEND torture? On TV. In front of the nation and the world.
Yeah, hilarious.
