Ken Cuccinelli appears to be one of those who are afraid of black helicopters, and afraid of social security numbers. He's a sitting state senator in Virginia, and is running for Attorney General. It's funny except that this guy could actually be the Commonwealth's chief law enforcement official!
In this video above (taken from here) of what may be his a "Macacca" moment (involving paranoia, not racism), Cuccinelli tells a group he's seriously considering not getting a social security number for his seventh child.
Fear and conspiracy theories about social security numbers abound, and maybe some folks have a right to go without this basic identification. Maybe. But do Virginians want to elect a man prone this paranoia as their Attorney General? I don't!
Cuccinelli was selected by the Republicans to run for Attorney General even after he said he wouldn't enforce all it's laws! He's on record saying
"I will not defend what I, in my judgement deem to be, an unconstitutional law. We don't have the details of every Virginia law. But there's no guarantee right off the bat that I will defend every single law in Virginia."

This story is also covered in at least two blogs: Anonymous is a woman and Blue Virginia. I hope the word spreads, so I don't have to worry about having an attorney general who picks and chooses the law, and who is motivated and cowered by bizarre conspiracy theories!
