Just got an email from Senator Dodd asking for my opinion on health insurance. You can submit your thoughts, too.
Dodd, representing Connecticut, the insurance capital of the world, is a big player on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, which just released a bill that includes no public plan. According to an item in Politico, Dodd wanted to leave contentious items out of the 600+ page bill in order to keep Republicans in the discussion.
Here's what I wrote to Senator Dodd:
"Anything other than a single-payer system will only be a taxpayer sop to the insurance companies and will lead to another 10 or 15 years of increasing pain until we are forced to adopt what every other industrialized country has: a universal health care system."

The entry box for Dodd's form does not wrap. Do not use paragraphs. If you hit enter, the comment is submitted at that point.
