1423 - Chinese seafarers build lighthouse on Massachusetts coast to aid their huge ships in avoiding shoals.
1860 - The first iron-pile lighthouse was completed at Minot’s Ledge, MA.
COINCIDENCE? I think NOT!
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

FROM THE CHURCH OF INEFFABLE STUPIDITY:
a) Air Farce Academy does it again
USAF Academy bans Christopher Hitchens (Sober, no less!) while it allows self-described former-terrorists-turned-evangelicals, to speak on campus last year, (as part of an alleged terror briefing).
So promoting illegal acts in the name of god is OK, saying there is no god is forbidden.
Fraudulent
Unacceptable
Cock-eyed
Knavish
Yellow bellied
Obstinate
Untruthful
There are probable a few better words.

b) Iran to investigate Neda's murder.
Yeah, right.
Ahmadinejad told the head of Iran's judiciary, Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi, to probe the incident and make the results of his investigations public, Fars reported Monday, nine days after Agha-Soltan was killed. "The massive propaganda of the foreign media, as well as other evidence, proves the interference of the enemies of the Iranian nation who want to take political advantage and darken the pure face of the Islamic republic," he said in a letter to Shahroudi, according to the news agency.

Pretty hard to darken something you personally have blackened, sir.

c) GE They bring good things to their bottom line - at tax payer expense
WASHINGTON – General Electric, the world's largest industrial company, has quietly become the biggest beneficiary of one of the government's key rescue programs for banks.
At the same time, GE has avoided many of the restrictions facing other financial giants getting help from the government.
The company did not initially qualify for the program, under which the government sought to unfreeze credit markets by guaranteeing debt sold by banking firms. But regulators soon loosened the eligibility requirements, in part because of behind-the-scenes appeals from GE.
As a result, GE has joined major banks collectively saving billions of dollars by raising money for their operations at lower interest rates.

And of course, that will trickle down to the US consumer and suffering home owner immediately. Right? RIGHT?

d) Fort Worth PD, the best 17th century policing available in Texas
Early Sunday morning, Fort Worth police, accompanied by agents of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, raided the Rainbow Lounge, a newly-opened gay club in Fort Worth.
According to CBS 11 News, “seven people were arrested for public intoxication and at least a dozen more were restrained. The incident was captured on camera and posted on local blogs. The scene was topic of conversation at Sunday’s Million Gay March in Dallas.”
Police say they were investigating allegations that the club was over-serving its customers. They also allege one of the officers was “groped” during the raid, an allegation that witnesses dispute.
A newly opened club, catering to gays, and the police come in to bash heads?
Funny how MSM is ignoring this travesty. But that's not all they ignore.

Then again, maybe not so funny.

e) Nestle hid data that led to deadly e-Coli outbreak.
NEW YORK (AP) - Inspection reports from a Nestle USA cookie dough factory released Friday show the company refused several times to provide Food and Drug Administration inspectors with complaint logs, pest-control records and other information.
The records, which date back to 2004, were made public after Nestle's Toll House refrigerated, prepackaged cookie dough was discovered to be the likely culprit in an E. coli outbreak that has sickened 69 people in 29 states, according to the latest estimates from the federal Centers for Disease Control. The CDC is investigating the outbreak along with the FDA.

Nestle's poisoned african kids, it bribed hundreds of inspectors around the world, and it lied to our FDA.

f) Honduras
What if they threw a revolution, and nobody came?
Given the myopic concentration on all things Michael Jackson, (to whom Mark Sanford is giving thanks, to whom John Ensign is giving thanks, to whom . . . .) it is of little surprise that America's MSM is ignoring this huge event to our south.
The Military take-over of a liberal democratically elected president should be a warning to us. Except, our media is falling down on the job. AGAIN.
