I have been imagining this day for a while, what it'll be like when Eduardo Castro Wright shows up at the store I work at. And even if I don't get to ask him a question, which I probably won't, it's fun to think about what I would ask him if I had the chance and the balls to do so.
So, I invite you all to put in your submissions. What should I ask Eduardo Castro Wright when he comes to my store?
My top 3 so far:
How does it feel to look at people making 10 bucks an hour?
Do you realize that our store does not usually look like this, and in about a week it'll be back to where it was before you came here? This is not normal.
I really wonder if he is used to walking into stores that look like they are in tip top shape and thinking that is normal because that is not how they look on a regular basis.
Why are you imposing this ridiculous schedule on us when other companies have accomplished the same thing we're trying to accomplish without doing this, and is this an admission of failure to train people via the computer system that we have?
Edit: One thing I forgot I wanted to ask: Why is it that we can't ask customers to donate to the Children's Miracle Network anymore "because it isn't the right thing to do in this economy", but we are required to ask them if they'd like a Walmart credit card? How does more debt help customers?
((For those of you who don't know what the schedule is turning into companywide over the next few years: for department managers/merchandise supervisors it's a rotating schedule where you never have the same days off or work the same hours each week, thereby making things like college, church, and other structured events impossible. They say they are doing this to improve customer service and help train associates on different shifts by spreading the "knowledge" around because as it is now, managers and supervisors tend to work 7am-4pm.))
Obviously, if I am able to ask him any question (which I really seriously doubt, but we will see), I would like to ask a question which will not cost me my job although I wonder how such a situation could happen considering our "open door policy" (lulz), so please keep that in mind if you suggest something. Believe me, I have thought of about a million things I could get fired for asking. The lefty in me rallies at this chance.
