I read a KOS diary yesterday, published by Dave in RI and it detailed his experience of calling a telephone number that he received in his e-mails. This particular telephone number that he called belonged to an organizer of one of these health-care protest rallies. The diary was well-done and pretty easy read diary and this is the link.

And I commend Dave in RI for making such a call, asking the organizer some tough questions, and having the patience and persistence of questioning and listening to what I can only describe as - a blithering idiot.
So I went to sleep, and woke up with this idea. How about us here at KOS somehow getting the telephone numbers and calling up the organizers of these so-called protests, and engaging in continual dialogue, trying both their time and their patience, and giving them a good taste of how we can battle as well. If someone here gets a telephone number of an organizer, we will all find out as to how to block our telephone number as per out local companies, have our questions prepared, and just all at the same time start calling and drive these organizer crazier than they already are, at the same time keeping their telephones busy so the real crackpots won't get through and the information that they need. Hey, we can even call them at 2, 3 in the morning if anyone wants to.
As per Dave in RI, some of the exerts and questions that he asked were:
"Hi. Are you organizing the protests this weekend?"......
"Oh, hi. Are we supposed to make our own signs?".........
Well, are we for single-payer or a strong public option?"
- "Ha. Well, I'm pretty much against it all."
"Oh, yeah? Why?"..........
- "Do you want the government getting mixed up in health care?"...
"Well, they've done pretty well with Medicare."
- "You can say that, but I don't want to argue with you."
"I don't want to argue, either, just talk. But you don't want to give up your Medicare, do you?"..........
Are you happy about what the health insurance companies are doing to us?"
- "How'd you get my number?"
"An email."
- "Well, I don't want to argue. I'm in the middle of dinner."......
I could also throw in a few questions, such as:
"Do you think that the government will interfere more in your health coverage than a for-profit insurance company will?"
"Maybe you have good coverage right now, but, and we'll pray that this never happens but, what if you needed some treatment that would save your life, or the life of a loved one, and the for-profit insurance that you have denies you this coverage?"
"You really believe that Barrack Obama was not born in the United States?"
Okay, I could go on and on, but you get the idea.
We can call it the Un-organize the Organizers Campaign. And that'll teach some of these organizers to think twice before they offer to organize next time.
What do you think?
Curious as to your comments.
