Okay, this is not so much as a rebuttal as it is a lengthy video filled comment. I agree with McJoan and here's the link to her front page diary Fight the Screamer's: Show Up
I agree, we should begin showing up at town hall meetings and screaming FOR heathcare reform. But haven't we already done that? Haven't we already shown up by the thousands and screamed for heathcare reform? Does anyone remember this in Denver?
I believe we cheered loudest for the healthcare portion of that speech.
And this one? Don't yell at me for this one. Yes I was an Edwards supporter, but the crowd is there for President Obama. This diary is about President Obama not Edwards. And again the crowd cheered loudest during the healthcare portion of the speech.
MoveOn or some other brilliant organization would do well to slap a quick commercial together and get it on the air immediately showing these ridiculous "birther crowds" of 150 people and 200 people at these townhall meetings shouting down healthcare reform and juxoposition those videos with these videos (and many more) of the tens of thousands of people filling arenas and stadiums to cheer President Obama (then candidate Obama) when he promised real healthcare reform. Let's remind Pelosi and Reid and the "blue dogs" of why President Obama was elected.
We need to be reminded. We need to remind our Senators and Congressman. The crowds at the townhall meetings aren't crowds.
These videos show where the real CROWDS of AMERICANS STAND ON THIS ISSUE.
