Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, roll up a character on Garrosh and when you log in type
/who wreck list
and any officer can get you in the guild. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
A slow news week, so sorry to that HRed schmuck from last week, but my community diary will be short on subject. It's time for the tabard vote.

RAID UPDATE
Not much to say here this week. We were a healer short for Ulduar last week, and couldn't get a pickup healer, either. So we shifted to Naxx for a speed run, and knocked out most of it in under three hours. Which is how I imagine it must be for any guild that has it on farm, so woot. Before we left Ulduar, we did whack the Flame Leviathian loot piñata, and downed him with a tower up. Easily, too. Next stop, two towers -- anyone have a suggestion on what's best to leave up along with the Tower of Flames?
Some guilds were stripped out of the roster, as we've moved up from 36th to 28th in Strict Progression by doing nothing. Strict Achievement ranking, we've moved up to 26th of 38, with some actual work on that front including the Flame Leviathian 1-tower achievement.
If you're interested in tracking Wreck List, you can do so here for Progression, and here for Achievements.

FRESH MEAT!
I have to say, this has me jazzed. We have a ton of high 60/early 70s now, many of the more casual players who started when the guild started, as well as a whole new crew of friends. And after having Ulduar issues multiple times in a row, where we couldn't fill slots, it's good to see some fresh blood coming up to do just that.
So next Monday at 8 PM server time, I've scheduled a night where we just do lower level content for them, to help them on their path to 80. So if you're an 80, and interested in helping out, sign up so I know to expect you and can plan some groups. Or, if you're an 80 really trying to level that new healer or tank for the guild, here's a good time to get some practice with it.
Attendance for 80s is not mandatory, of course, but do keep in mind that some aspect of our loot system is based on how much you're doing to help your fellow guildmates succeed.

ARTICLE OF INTEREST
Hat tip to Nina Katarina, for pointing out this great article. Apparently playing in a guild lowers your stress level!

TABARD VOTE
We had some discussion, and have come up with three main suggestions that have gotten some response. I'd ask that casual readers of the diary not vote in the poll, and leave it to guild members or people who plan on joining. No Freeping!
Choice #1: Leave the guild tabard as-is. Primarily orange, with black beer steins, and yellow border.
Choice #2: Invert the design, making the beer steins orange, and the tabard black. I'll likely change the border color to the same orange.
Choice #3: Go back to a version of the other suggestion that got a lot of votes, which is a pootie. Color scheme of a light orange cat on a burnt orange background, with a yellow border.
#3 has a picture on the guild forums, but I'm too lazy to research exactly what we are using or what the inversion is, as I didn't create it initially. As such I'm not posting it to unfairly influence the vote.
If you have a different suggestion, you are welcome to post it. If it gets more recommends than there are votes for anything in the poll, it wins. So don't rec new tabard photos you don't like!
And that's it for this week. See you in-game!
