Yesterday late evening I considered posting President Obama's Weekly Address but decided not to because I thought it would likely scroll from the list of diaries with little attention so I was delighted to find that SusanG 'front paged' it.
The past week President Obama clearly signaled a very different approach to the community of Nation's than the world has experienced from America during the Bush/Cheney era of tyranny.
As to consequences ...
... well, within the past hour the AP is reporting:
Iran to allow IAEA visit nuclear site

TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran will allow the U.N. nuclear agency to inspect a newly revealed and still unfinished uranium enrichment facility, the country's nuclear chief told state television Saturday.
Vice President Ali Akbar Salehi didn't specify when inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency could visit the site, but said it has to be worked out with the agency under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty rules.
Iran's newly revealed enrichment site is said to be in the arid mountains near the holy city of Qom, inside a heavily guarded, underground facility belonging to the elite Revolutionary Guard.
Perhaps there's a connection, but in any case the citizens of the world did not have to witness a mean-spirited Bush, Cheney or McCain pounding a podium, American flags in the background, doing yet another stanza of 'bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.'
That's change we can admire.
