Most of you don't know me, but I'm the other half of the duo that started
Satanosphere with Jeremy (aka CT) a few years ago, an earlier
Scoop-based site that kinda-sorta led to his work here, keeping this lovely site working.
You've all read about how during YearlyKos, a truck drove through his house, and how being at the convention doing his thing may well have saved his life. You've also all been incredibly generous with your donations. But if you're anywhere near Olympia, WA, you can help even more on July 27th, and rock out to a few of our favorite local bands, too.
I'm talking to you, Seattle Kossacks!
We've taken the task of putting on a benefit show for Jeremy and his lovely wife Erin and their baby. Though the donations via DailyKos have been amazing, we can never do enough good. In the indie-rock world, this is how we raise money. ;-)
The show will be Thursday, July 27th at Olympia's famous Brotherhood Lounge. The line-up is as follows: Rodeo Kill (outlaw country), Speaker Speaker (power-pop from Seattle) and the triumphant return of C-Average (rock, roll, and more). There will also be a raffle, with many prizes donated from Archibald Sisters.
I also have it on good authority that the local alternative press will be covering the evening.
The cover is $3, and is 21+ with ID. Doors are at 4 (Take advantage of the great happy hour, $1.50 wells!), the show starts at 9.
So come down and scene-scope all the famous Olympians you've read about, drink until you smell like you could be in Modest Mouse, and rock on for a good cause.
