Last night I watched a feed online of the kids' ball on mute as we were watching something else on tv just to get glimpses of those cutie daughters. I look forward to every woman's magazine in the grocery checkout line for the next 8 yrs.No offense to Laura Bush exactly but I took no joy in looking at anyone connected to him even if it was a pretty picture in front of the White House Christmas tree.
I promise I'm not going to be a stalker I'm just so thrilled with our President and First Family (like everyone else)
I hope there is amnesty tonight for posting diaries that don't have links and facts etc. I do have a couple serious things I want to say!
THANK YOU OBAMA VOLUNTEERS! (and please excuse my caps)
I wanted to put a sign in my car today that thanked volunteers but I have a 16 yr old so I don't have my car anymore.
I knew I would vote for the Democrat and hadn't paid much attention until the convention. Then I totally got what the big deal was. How positive and inclusive the Democrats are. Kos is absolutely right.
I then watched the Weatherman documentary, read Obama's books and got more informed in general. And more enraged at the Republicans and Palin and McCain but who cares now.....
Thank you to everyone who was engaged and informed and working early on. (I did donate and make calls after the DNC and wrote letters)
One side note, there may need to be a movement of support for Republicans in office who really do put aside partisan pettyness. (Not Cornyn so far) If Rush Limbaugh has any influence on voters, I'd be willing to give credit where credit is due to Republican lawmakers who speak positively about Obama and his administration. I also hope intellectual conservatives like Parker and Sullivan who were willing to call Palin a Palin take control of their party. And thank you Colin Powell forever too. He gave me reassurance when I needed it that there could be some sane Republicans who would take issue with demonizing Arabs.
