In my pursuit of new exploits and study of American politics I was able to get a seat at the RNC Debate today at the National Press Club.
I watched the entire event to see what was the Republican's plan for the next two years. Just to be curious for its sake.
In my honest opinion, if I had to choose those I could at least respect even if I disagree with their philosphy I thought Michael Steele and Saul Anuzis would be respectable, and Ken Blackwell the only one who seemed closest to being honest of the issues.
What struck me beyond the Republican's mantra of keep being conservative was that 2008 was completely ignored.
George W. Bush was mentioned a mere 5 times in the entire 90 minutes. Reagan was mentioned as many times as a linking verb is used in most novels.
But no mention of John McCain as the Republican Presidential Nominee. Nor for that of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential Candidate.
Not even in passing, not in disrespect or support. None.
For all the supposed support she gained in this last election, the Republican party has forgotten who she is.
Just something worth note.
