My neighbors are not exactly high-class people, and we have gone rounds in the past over a variety of issues, but sometimes it feels like they try to antagonize me on purpose.
They got a dog, a little lap-dog type model, which besides yipping incessantly also has a fondness for biting. Normally the neighbors have the dog on a run so it is confined to a small area, but occasionally one of their kids, I guess, let the dog out to roam free.
The consequences are usually disastrous....
The first time the dog bit me, I went to the hospital and got 2 stitches and a tetanus shot. I of course made my neighbors pay for it, and I warned them not to let it happen again.
Yesterday, I'm carrying in groceries and I hear that pint-sized growl behind me, and wham! groceries are flying and I'm shaking a dog from my leg. I kicked at it, and it mush have seen the anger because it started running.
I ran into the house and got a knife.
The neighbors must have seen what happened because they called the dog into the house real fast and wouldn't answer to my knock.
I kicked the door in, looked at Charlie, their 10-year-old boy, and said, "give me the dog."
Charlie looked scared, and I suppose me standing there gripping a knife was scary. Still, defiantly, he said, "No!".
I stabbed him in the face and neck, and went looking for the mother. She was on the phone, and started to scream, and I told her she could stop screaming because pretty soon she would go into shock and then eventually die. Nobody likes a screamer.
I waited for the paramedic to arrive, and I told him to hurry up so I could stab him too.
The dog keeps hiding behind humans, but maybe that dog won't bite me anymore.
I have a right to defend myself.
