Many people are grumbling about socialized education. Since many jobs have gone overseas, and facing a world of diminishing expectations, many responsible low and middle income adults have chosen to be responsible and have not had government susidized children. This is partly so they can save money. They were hoping for affordable national healthcare plan (socilized medicine), but instead, we seem to be getting the age tax and mandatory UNDERinsurance for thse who need it the least, and higher taxes for those who need it the most. They will feel especially outraged at this age tax, which targets the people who need healthcare the most, putting quality healthcare out of their reach. (perhaps intentionally)
If society can't help the people who made it what it is- instead wanting to charge them more when they can afford it the least - what is the sense of their paying for others socialized education, they say.
People who have children- who need the socialized education the most - should pay the cost - bear the cost of schools, and free everybody else.
Tit for tat. What do you think of ending socialized education and the double standard ?
Then the older people could apply those many thousands of dollars they used to pay in property taxes to pay for schools, towards their mandatory
age tax. Of course, there should be subsidies for the very poorest for both the new free market schools and the free market medicine..
But only for the poorest..
That way, those baby-makers will understand the real cost of having children and would be more responsible in having them, just like how the bureaucrats like to portray cost sharing in health care.
THERE IS NO ROOM AT THE INN...:)
