The House earlier this year voted to order the phrase "In God We Trust" to be inscribed at the Capitol Visitor Center and to defund ACORN. These GOP-initiated actions were questionable, both as a matter of policy (capitulation?) and of constitutionality (dubious):
Lawsuit Challenges Congress' Decision To Add Motto and Pledge To Capitol Visitor Center
Congressional Report Says Bill Defunding ACORN Appears Unconstitutional
The proposals were pushed by the right. Six Members had the respect for the Constitution - and the guts - needed to vote no both times.

The right-wing blogosphere and Chuck Norris (!) are attacking these courageous Members of Congress. We should do what we can to support Reps. Edwards, Hirono, Honda, McDermott, Scott, and Stark.
Thanks!
