Yes - they are a pitiable group of business stalwarts those poor downtrodden insurers of saintly Marcus Welbies. Why - as we all just know (and forget statistics, empirical studies and anything resembling fact, please) America (oh, yeah - founded by those nasty lawyers) is overrun with lawyers and lawsuits and those pursuing the rule of law. Sure, I know - what a lovely world it would be if those lawyers just went away and didn't make all that trouble. Just ask Bernie Madoff - now there was an achiever - and to think all that beautiful money making brought to a halt by that silly law and litigation. But really you having to pay indirectly for the wrongs of others - why, that is the cry of new American practitioner of "free marketism." It really is an amazing spectacle for those of us that see children hobbled, parents rendered penniless, businesses shuttered and lives shattered to know that the Republican dream of a civil society without civil law has brought forth this beauty - a handful of propagandists feeding unfettered at the public trough. Yep - this is the new definition of rugged capitalism.
Pardon me - if the spectacle is a bit sickening.
