Bitter much?
Michelle Malkin:
It's almost an insult to joke that Barack Obama has become Jimmy Carter, because Jimmy Carter at least had something to stand on. And this has really become the ultimate act of global affirmative action.
Erick Erickson (Redstate)
I did not realize the Nobel Peace Prize had an affirmative action quota for it, but that is the only thing I can think of for this news. There is no way Barack Obama earned it in the nominations period.
Mike Huckabee
There will be an outcry from those on the right who will say that Obama's nomination, made two weeks into his Presidency, is impossible to justify but I think such an outcry will sound like right-wing whining. The better response is simply to allow those on the left to explain what he did in his first two weeks as President that merited such recognition.
Rush Limbaugh:
"The Nobel gang just suicide-bombed themselves. Gore, Carter, Obama, soon Bill Clinton. See a pattern here? They are all leftist sell-outs. George Bush liberates 50 million Muslims in Iraq, Reagan liberates hundreds of millions of Europeans and saves parts of Latin America. Any awards?” Limbaugh says “Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and for that gets a prize, which is now worth as much as whatever prizes they are putting in Cracker Jacks these days.”
“This fully exposes the illusion that is Barack Obama. It is a greater embarrassment than losing the Olympics bid. And with this "award" the elites of the world are urging Obama, THE MAN OF PEACE, to not do the surge in Afghanistan, not take action against Iran and its nuclear program and to basically continue his intentions to emasculate the United States. They love a weakened, neutered U.S. and this is their way of promoting that concept. I think God has a great sense of humor, too.”
Joe Scarborough:
I guarantee you Marisa Tomei did more to win the Academy Award in My Cousin Vinny... than Barack Obama has done to win a Nobel Peace Prize.
Glenn Beck:
It is such a joke that he'll turn it down, and it's the only way to make a win out of this... His arrogance is so incredible. If he comes out now and says I cannot accept, he wins it. Then he has become the winner of the Nobel Prize, but so humble he's Jesus. You watch, you watch. But the only thing that will stop him is, he's not Jesus. He's an arrogant, arrogant man.
And Uppity.
The Party of No in all its classless glory. Hate hate hate. It's what they live for.
UPDATE
Hillary Clinton (via her spokesperson)
"Certainly from our standpoint, this gives us a sense of momentum — when the United States has accolades tossed its way, rather than shoes."
