Tomorrow's a big day for communications policy. The FCC will meet to propose rules on Net Neutrality, and the telecom lobby is doing everything it can to convince the commission not to act in the public interest.
The lobby’s efforts have reached a few dozen members of Congress who have now come out against Net Neutrality (here's a full list of them, complete with contact info), and we at Free Press are fighting back in full force.
In the last two days, more than 20,000 people have signed a letter in support of the FCC's rules. This huge show of support suggests that while the telco lobby may have the big bucks, the public has real numbers.
This is a crucial moment for all of us who have fought to guarantee an open Internet for all. Telcos like AT&T and Verizon know this, and are pulling out all the stops to slow our momentum (witness Glenn Beck's nonsensical attack on Net Neutrality during yesterday's show).
So please help us support the FCC's decision. Sign this letter and call your senator or representative if he or she is on this list opposing Net Neutrality.
