Like a growling blind dog that thinks he has a rat cornered, the Right Wing's former VP poked his head out of his undisclosed cave bunker again yesterday to make animal-like sounds about his favorite subject. Yes, you guessed it! WAR! It seems that former VP Deputy Dog has a problem with the way President Obama is handling Dick's forgotten war in Afghanistan. You see, once Dirty Dick Cheney turned his howitzer sights on oil rich Iraq, Afghanistan and our soldiers there were forgotten like a old lover once a new and more exciting lover came along to tweak his blood-and-oil-lust libido.
Cheney: Stop ‘dithering’ on Afghanistan troops
Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday night accused the White House of "dithering" over the strategy for the war in Afghanistan and urged President Barack Obama to "do what it takes to win."
"Make no mistake. Signals of indecision out of Washington hurt our allies and embolden our adversaries," Cheney said while accepting an award from a conservative national security group, the Center for Security Policy.
Let me interpret. Back when George W. Bush and the howling jowl's of Dick Cheney were conducting their favorite wars, they didn't dither on their WAR in Afghanistan. They completely walked away from the fray and concentrated on creating Disney-By-The-Tigris in Iraq the very instant they managed to lie their way into attacking a country that they figured they could exploit all the way to the bank. Understand that Afghanistan only held the land bridge that they needed to run a natural gas pipeling across (see: Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline). Iraq offered much more in the way of an already well built infrastructure, lots of OIL and an oasis in the Middle Eastern desert to locate a lot of American troops and war instruments in which to attack the next door neighbor, Iran. Who, by the way also had a well built infrastructure and lots of OIL.
Cheney disputed remarks by White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel that the Bush administration had been adrift concerning the war in Afghanistan and that the Obama administration had to start from the beginning to develop a strategy for the 8-year-old war.
To the contrary, Cheney said, the Bush administration undertook its own review of the war before leaving office and presented its findings to Obama's transition team.
I'm quite sure that the Cheney Administration told the Obama administration that everything was peachy-keen in Afghanistan and all they would need to do was "surge" or something to bring the corrupt Karzai administration, all the War Lords and the Taliban under control.
Why this disgraced and despised man keeps showing up on the radar screen to talk about how well HIS administration handled foreign policy and for that matter, domestic economics is an enigma.
Why anyone listens to him or publishes anything this growling dog barks out is almost criminal.
