I'm sure most of us have heard about Sarah Palin's backing of the Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in NY-23 instead of the GOP backed candidate. This is only the beginning of Sarah Palin's goal of being the first nomintaed, woman candidate to run for the President of The United States as the Conservative Party candidate. And she will get it. Hear me out...
On K.O. tonight, they speak of a potential GOP civil war. Honestly, I've heard of the Conservative Party, but could never name a candidate that they ever had. Other than today. Doug Hoffman. Why? Because of Sarah Palin. She made millions of people know that candidate of the Conservative Party. How many people have even heard of that party before today? And how many votes did Doug Hoffman pick up today from the right-wing Sarah Palin lovers?
The facts are...Sarah Palin would never get the GOP nomination to be POTUS. They know she can never win. She wants the spotlight and on the main stage. She will never be able to do that with the GOP. However, she can if she gets in good with the Conservative Party. The Party is going to see how much attention their candidates get when she stumps for them. They'll put more candidates up in 2010, she will stump for them, citing "real Republican values", and their numbers will go up. She is a gold mine for them to bring them on the main stage. She will draw votes.
If they run her in 2012, I think she can get 5% of the vote from the rightest of right. She will get their message out on a national stage and as a result, their numbers will go up as she racks up more votes than they could have dreamed of. She gets the spotlight and will be "taken seriously" as a candidate for president by the media. She has the main stage. She can't win, but she wants to be a icon to many. That's what she wants. She wants the power. She wants others to follow her. She will be the candidate of the Conservative Party. She will use them and they will use her.
In the 2012 election for POTUS, she will be the Ralph Nader of the GOP, take away percentages of their vote, and President Obama will be elected.
UPDATE: My friend called me and commented and had a vary good point. However, still bad for the GOP. Look at the list of Repub backers of Hoffman.

This group is trying to send a warning shot to the GOP. "We will f*ck your candidates over by endorsing other republican candidates, thus splitting votes, and having the democrat win." They are forcing the GOP to run a republicans like them. To avoid losses, the GOP caves, runs a conservative of palin, armey's, bachmann philosophy. Good bye independent voters!! Either scenario, mine or my friends, bad for the GOP in 2012.
