Now I know I'm an old man and maybe i've missed a lot of what's been going on, but I don't see anyone putting up a link to donate funds on ActBlue to help Elect Bill Owens in New York's 23rd District.
BILL OWENS FOR CONGRESS
As you must know by now, he's holding a slight (SLIGHT) edge in a battle again two repugs running against each other and splitting the right wing vote. This is historic folks. If he wins, he will be the first Democrat elected in the district in, what is it? 167 years? And the first ever with the district configured the way it is now. Come on, with a little help, every major right wing nutjob in America will have day old egg all over their face come next Wednesday. I don't know how to set this up. But some of you certainly must. You did it all last year when we helped elect god knows how many completely "unelectable" folks across the country. Let's do it again, shall we? How do we help? How do we make phone calls for him? Who can set up a Kos ActBlue donation page and help get the dollars flowing? We must have a few minutes to spare in between fighting over the Public Option and the Right to Work (remember that one?).
And certainly this is just as important as whether or not you flame me or curse at me cause I'm a big old fag. I'll be glad to donate some time and effort on this, but I'm a complete novice at this kind of thing and need guidance. But I'd gladly follow. I have Vonage and can make calls all day to get any registered Dems out of their houses and to the polls. Now I'm on SSI, but certainly I'll ante up the first 25 bucks.
Let's get Bill Owens elected. Besides that, he's a great guy. The Vets love him. And it will throw a major wrench into the conservative movement and hit Mrs. Palin right where it hurts. Wouldn't that be lovely to see?
Check Him Out
Uncle Sal
You know, tonight this race was featured on every newscast I watched and was a leading story on both Countdown and Maddow's show and here on Kos it practically doesn't exist. What is going on? Do we help elect Democrats or not? Isn't that our mission? That's what I was told when I first signed on and that's what I'm here to do.
