The news this morning is huge, and inescapable -- it's all over the front page of this site, and every news site: President Barack Obama has one the Nobel Peace Prize. Preceding him in this honor are a host of remarkable human beings, including Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Elie Wiesel, Lech Walesa, and the 14th Dalai Lama. Notably, also on that prestigious list are former President Jimmy Carter, and former Vice President Al Gore.
In reflecting on this momentous occasion, I'm reduced to a moment of junior high school nanny-nanny-boo-booism when I observe that there are three luminaries of the United States Democratic Party on that list, and ZERO Republicans. So I ask the wingnuts: Hey Wingnuts? Where are your Nobel Peace Prize Winners?
Sorry for the short diary, but I did want to share that thought.
Also, while I'm at it, I'll add that this is probably VERY good news for John McCain.
