PUBLIC OPTION PLEASE!
I had the privilege of speaking last night to Rich Stockwell. Rich and his boss (and our friend) Keith Olbermann are health care heroes.
Y'all know Keith, I want you to meet Rich Stockwell who is a senior Olbermann producer and the godfather of the Free Health Clinics concept.
The first Free Health Clinic will open Saturday morning at the Moriel Convention Center in New Orleans.
This noble undertaking will deliver free health care to people from Louisiana who are victims of our broken and depraved healthcare and political system.
I'll be in Little Rock next week for the November 21st clinic, and I hope to bring you reports from there.
If you're reading this and you require free medical care, please call 877-233-5159 toll-free as soon as possible to schedule appointments.
If you want to volunteer for the Little Rock Health Fair on November 21, please click this link.
The Commonwealth Fund reports that Louisiana ranks 49th in the percent of nonelderly adults (Ages 18–64) insured.
Democracy for America will be running this ad in Louisiana.
Their premise is simple: "Senator Landrieu has a choice to make. Stand with the Democratic Caucus against a Republican filibuster and we'll stop running the ad. But stand with Republicans to kill healthcare reform and this ad is only the beginning."
Mary Landrieu doesn't seem to get it. She is an employee of the people of Louisiana not the for-profit insurance industry despite the fact that they make huge contributions to her political campaigns. But after tomorrow, maybe Mary will feel some shame.
If I were a United States Senator and I saw the people I represent line up at 4 AM for basic healthcare,I'd resign in shame and ask for forgiveness for my sins.
These are the six Senators who will likely decide the fate of healthcare for the American people. They cannot win and we won't let them.
And never forget this is Mary Landrieu in all her miserable glory.
All that matters for Mary "there is no free lunch" Landrieu is that she and her family have their--there is no free lunch-- taxpayer subsidized healthcare,
