I was strolling through the new modern wing at the Art Institute of Chicago when I stumbled onto this premonitory portrait of Joe Lieberman -- from 1913!
Ludwig Meidner only thought he was painting a portrait of theatre critic Max Herrmann-Neisse. Little did he know that his greasy composition today would more accurately resemble the douchebag from Connecticut. Even the name, Max Hermann-Neisse, can be phonetically anagrammed into Max Narcissism.
Have at it.
