#1 Michelle Bachmann is under investigation for her anti-healthcare pro-analogies-to-the-worst-times-in-human-history rally
Watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has requested an investigation into whether Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) broke House rules in organizing an anti-health care reform rally on November 5.
In a letter sent to the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), CREW contends that Bachmann violated House rules by using her official member's website to garner "grassroots lobbying" for the health care protest in question.
Much more below the fold

#3 Lots of weird stuff is going on with the neoCon Washington Times, owned and run by Moonie cult leader Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Talking Points Memo has the coverage. One of the articles written by Wesley Pruden recently said Obama Lacks 'Blood Impulse' Due To 'Kenyan Father' Kathy at Left in Alabama has a good post on this
#4 Tim Geithner was singled out as the guy who pushed for counterparties to AIG to get paid out 100 cents on the dollar for 'toxic assets'. I can see why Geithner might believe that overpaying would help stabilize the economy. But he needs to explain himself. We need to know how much was given out to Wall Street that won't be paid back. Then Main Street needs to be given the same amount.
#5 Craziest Google Street views. This is too funny!!
#6 Keith Olbermann on Monday read a post written by his producer who had been changed after visiting a National Association of Free Clinics clinic over the weekend in New Orleans. Keith and his viewers have so far raised over $1.7 Million for the NAFC since Keith announced the idea at the beginning of October. In case you missed it the NAFC hold huge free clinics. The Countdown folks thought it would be a good idea to raise more money for these clinics and to use it as a tool to push Senators against reform to flip.

#7 Congressman Anthony Weiner has been making the rounds on Conservative shows. He was on Morning Joe this morning and Fox News a couple times over the weekend. I can't embed the videos here. Check them out on his facebook page.
#8 This isn't political but it's too funny, although maybe you could argue that our schools are underfunded in the arts. From failblog.
#9 NY Times and NY Post raided by the Cops?
#10 Goldman Sachs is trying to clean up their image. They will partner with Warren Buffett and donate $500M
Goldman's philanthropic effort, called "10,000 Small Businesses," includes a $200 million contribution to community colleges, universities and other institutions to give grants to small business owners to further their education.
The New York-based bank also will invest $300 million through a combination of lending and charitable support. Goldman said the money will be funneled through community development financial institutions to boost lending and technical assistance available to small businesses in underserved communities.
Good start.
#11 I know the administration is trying to give out jobs, but who did they hire to drive Biden around?? They just got in a 3rd crash in as many weeks!!
#12 Offshore Bank Accounts Revealed To IRS By 14,700 Taxpayers
MIAMI (AP)-- More than 14,700 U.S. taxpayers came forward to disclose billions in offshore bank accounts in 70 countries under a voluntary Internal Revenue Service program allowing most to avoid criminal prosecution as long as they pay what they owe, IRS officials said Tuesday.
A flood of people came forward in the last days before the amnesty program expired Oct. 15, IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman said. The final total far surpasses the number who disclose offshore accounts in a typical year -- about 100 -- and comes amid a broad U.S. crackdown on international tax evasion at Swiss bank UBS AG and other institutions.
#13 FL-Sen Candidate Marco Rubio Attacks Ronald Reagan's Immigration policy.
In 1986 Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million people. You know what happened, in addition to becoming 11 million a decade later? There were people trying to enter the country legally, who had done the paperwork, who were here legally, who were going through the process, who claimed, all of a sudden, ‘No, no no no , I’m illegal.’ Because it was easier to do the amnesty program than it was to do the legal process.
Go Marco Go! Take down Crist and Reagan.. alright! Kendrick Meek 2010!
#14 Bill O'Reilly "I don't care about the Constitution"
#15 Carrie Prejean 2016? Rep Chaffetz thinks she has a political career ahead of her.
(Carrie) has the ability to draw crowds and if she has a strong message to go with that, who knows what she can do? She has star power which can open doors.
#16 Sarah Palin lies to Oprah. Think Progress counts the ways.
#17 Eat Less Meat.. the NY Times went looking for a solution to cow's carbon problem
In the World Watch report released last month, Dr. Goodland and Mr. Anhang wrote that "livestock (like automobiles) are a human invention and convenience, not part of pre-human times, and a molecule of CO2 exhaled by livestock is no more natural than one from an auto tailpipe."
Their solution to livestock’s global warming effect is simple: eat less animal products, or better still, none at all.
I don't know about the cultured meat talk. That's really creepy.
#18 Ellinorianne has a good piece up at La Vida Locavore called Action Diary - The Child Nutrition Act - Kids Write Congress!
So, what is the Child Nutrition Act? It's the very funding and guidelines that Congress sets every four years which dictates what kids eat at their school lunch tables everyday. It can make the difference between apples and fruit roll ups. It can mean real food or something close to it. And for some kids it can be the one meal that they get a day to make up for the other food they don't get.
And it matters to a lot of children, children who don't have the luxury of fresh fruits and vegetables at their homes, who aren't close to meeting the "Five a day" guideline.
#19 I heard this one on the radio from John Berry. He was talking about Josh Smith from the Atlanta Hawks. Josh was known for taking a lot of 3 point shots in recent years. And he wasn't known for making that many. He's a talented athlete but spends way too much time on the floor. I heard that Atlanta fans started booing Josh whenever he gets near the 3 point line. The result has been that he's been getting in close and making 57% of his shots. The Hawks are 9-2 this year and on a 5 game win streak.
#20 Congratulations to Andrew Bailey, American League Rookie of The Year Winner for the Oakland Athletics. He's a great relief pitcher, very talented. He reminds me of cross between Joe Blanton and Matt Cain.
