I just turned into Chris Matthews so called 'Hardball". He was interviewing Sen. Bob Corker, of Tn. While i didn't see the entire interview his comment to Corker before letting him go was something like this;
"I have to say that the Democrats have the right heart for legislation, but the GOP certainly is right when it comes to economic policies--some how we should put the two together"
WHAT???? I mean, really!
Those 'conservative' economic policies of the GOP has gotten us into the worse economic recession since the Great Depression and old Chris says they have the 'best' economic policies?
I am just livid on hearing this! What's wrong with him anyway?
As Eric Alterman, in his analysis in the "Center for American Progress"wrote:
David Broder, dean of the national press corps, has actually written that Obama’s "urgent necessity is to make a decision—whether or not it is right." That is how far we’ve come. Never mind that six years of a failed strategy by the Bush administration, to say nothing of rushing into a catastrophic war, and busting the budget with a giveaway to the rich tax cut, should be considered in the context of the decision. "Just do something" says Broder, regardless of whether it makes sense. Learn nothing from history. Repeat our mistakes over and over,..........
Chris Matthews has definitely has forgotten history and he's engaged in a very disturbing trend of the media to selectively 'forget' that history for what? To play a big time political pundit hoping to raise his viewers?
I mean to praise the GOP for their 'fiscal policies' and call them the 'right policies' for this country--what kind of nonesense is this?
