Dear Friends,
If you saw what I did, this past weekend in Little Rock, you would have the nightmares I am having.
But I want you to be as angry as I am, so I'm going to give you a peek into our catastrophic national shame.
After spending time at the Little Rock Clinic, I must confess that I am frightened to live in this nation. What you're about to see could happen to any of us.
If we fail in the most noble and urgent undertaking since the civil rights movement, then frankly, I cannot contemplate the future of our country. We're fighting for our democracy.
We must pass a healthcare reform bill with a robust public option, and it appears that we can only do that through the reconciliation process.
We need you to sign this petition which will be delivered to Majority Leader Reid. If I can be there to deliver it personally on behalf of all of you and the American people, I'll do it!
We have some very bad people in our midst. Blanche Lincoln (who is referred to in Arkansas as Plantation Blanche), Mary Landrieu, Mr. Contemptible himself, Joe Lieberman. And some guy who pretends to be a U.S. Senator named Ben Nelson. I have no respect for these miserable hucksters, so allow me please to call them exactly what they are.
The public option is essential to reform. It must be retained, protected and strengthened. Without a public option, sorry folks, you can shove this bill where the sun don't shine.
It doesn't matter what I say, but Frank Wood's message to Mary Landrieu, Ben Nelson, Blanche Lincoln and Joe Lieberman is seriously important. And I urge you to listen to every word he says.
Frank Wood is so damn grateful for "the opportunity" to get healthcare. He's "saving up" for his medications. How utterly pathetic.
His final words for the political class and our deeply depraved nation.
"Jesus healed the sick in the Bible and he didn't ask for money for it. . .it's small minded to think it's [healthcare] a privilege." Mr. Wood is talking to you Mary, Ben, Joe and Plantation Blanche.
"Have a heart . . .we Americans deserve healthcare . . .please, I'm begging you!", Cindy Howell pleads to members of the United States Senate.
Cindy "banks" her pills so they will last longer. Do members of the United States Senate "bank their medications"?
But since in the United States of America, healthcare is a privilege not a right, a few lucky ones, receive compassionate care in convention centers.
Isn't it long overdue that Blanche Lincoln receive her healthcare on the floor of a convention center?
I have nothing left to say today, I'm sorry. Except . . .this ad will be running in Arkansas.
Please help us keep this ad running in Arkansas with a contribution. Thanks so much.
We must change this terrible and catastrophic situation. And we do this by voting out of office people like these four miserable clowns.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION, PLEASE SIGN IT FOR FRANK WOOD AND CINDY HOWELL AND SO MANY COUNTLESS MILLIONS JUST LIKE THEM.
