All politics is local. Losing two governorships in already heavy GOP states was expected. VA can swing either way depending upon the president at the time, and Corzine who two things going against him. His Goldman Sachs heritage and obesity--nowadays, being financial CEO can mean you're a money-grubbing leach who has sucked the public dry with your bad advice and loony investments put a stain on your career, and honestly shut up about obesity and health because people who who don't wear seat-belts pay a price too you lousy hypocrite it's a bit rude to comment on someone's appearance to score points.
But anyways, instead of people mourning over a swing of governors they need to remember that the poisoning blow to GOP leadership is NY-23.
I never thought I would say "Thank you Sarah!"
I never thought I would say "Thank you Newt!"
Thank you Santorum, Armey, Bachmann, Thompson and Forbes!
This from AmSpec Blog--I guess they were expecting a win.
uh. gee. sorry.
NY23: 'Revolution' Upstate
By Robert Stacy McCain on 11.3.09 @ 7:52PM
SARANAC LAKE, N.Y.
Doug Hoffman campaign spokesman Rob Ryan just said the off-year congressional election in this sprawling upstate district represents a political "revolution."
And this gem too--I love that it works both ways ;-)
"They're sick and tired of politics as usual. They're sick and tired of the culture of corruption in Washington. They're sick and tired of sending all their money to the IRS."
All politics is local. NYers rejected the seeming interference from Tea-Partiers and Conservatives who could care less about what was going on in the district but instead wanted to use the vote of the people only to gain national strength and have a trifecta of talking points.
NYers just don't like being used.
