2010 is coming, followed all too closely by 2012, and too many Democratic Party elected members, including President Obama, have not done what they said they would and, in too many cases, did worse than what they said.
It is vital to America and to all of us, the American people, that we remember the condescending words of Paul Weyrich, considered the founder of the modern conservative movement in America. It happened in Dallas, 1980, at a gathering where Jerry Falwell and ol' bonnie Ronnie also spoke.
Here is the transcript of what the very loving Paul Weyrich said:
"How many of our Christians have what I call the Goo Goo syndrome... Good Government. They want everybody to vote. I don't want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people--they never have been from the beginning of our country and they are not now. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections, quite candidly, goes up as the voting populace goes down."
You can find this video by going to youtube, type in 'paul weyrich I don't want everybody to vote' Watch it, remember it. This guy is deadly serious about usurping the American people's right to representation.
The republicon Party of today is even more virulent in its twisted attitude toward America and Americans. The RP is owned and operated by true elitists and corporate money, both bottomless pits of funding, and all determined to put Americans in their proper place. Think of it as a modern version of: The Divine Right of Kings.
This is not to excuse the Democratic Party and its members who have sold their souls to those same moneyed interests, and who have sold the America people down the river. They also need to be held accountable and voted out of office. But 2010 and 2012 are coming on us fast, and look around. What do you see? Mad about things? Not going to vote next time? I know that feeling: there are elected representatives I want to punch in the mouth so hard my fist would come out the back of their heads.
But any time you feel that way, REMEMBER PAUL WEYRICH. Remember his words. His psychotic thinking will never rest, never sleep, never die. And he has an army of fellow travelers, all determined and all never resting, never sleeping, and ecstatic to make you die.
