President Barack (I didn't campaign on the PO) Obama just expressed satisfaction of the HCR bill as "meaningful reform". After watching Obama split hairs and parse words on his own meaning of past support for the PO, I have to wonder (aloud)... what do the words "meaningful reform" mean? Is this more hair splitting that some see as an out-right lie? I'd like to know the truth. What is meaningful about this bill? So far, the Liebercrats keep saying pie in the sky things without any details so excuse me if I'm suspicious about the meaning of their words. Obama says' "this is no small step" but, I don't see it any other way. Which is true? Can anyone explain what is so meaningful about this bill with some details?
Saying it expands coverage by mandating people MUST buy it isn't an answer. After all, how do we know more people will participate if it isn't more affordable in the first place? Thus, saying it "makes insurance affordable" from those who seem inclined to parse words begs for more detail. What does the term "affordable" mean to those inclined to parse their words? I believe truth is needed if we hope to EVER "fix it" and I diaried on this concept recently (HERE). As a result, I have to ask all the lieberdems... Please stop blowing smoke with vagueness and offer some specifics because the idea of trust for those who parse words, split hairs and out-right lie, is no longer enough!
