I am not sure what this is, but CNN is reporting that there is an incident, some emergency declared by the pilot of a plane with the same flight number and the plane is now on the ground, secluded.
I hope it is just an over-abundance of caution.
The flight originated in Amsterdam and landed in Detroit. Just like the one Christmas Day. Not the same plane, but same flight number and airline and flight itinerary.
CNN is reporting that someone traveling on the same flight number and the same airline as the incident earlier this week has another emergency. This is an entirely different situation from that on Christmas day.
The passengers are off the plane. There was apparently a disruptive passenger and the pilot declared an emergency.
The pilot of NW flight 253 declared an emergency, the plane landed without incident, all the passengers got off, and we are still awaiting more information. Apparently a passenger was up and down in his seat, went to the bathroom, spent time in the bathroom and they asked for emergency assistance on the ground to be ready for them when they landed. No fighter planes were dispatched, but the flight was monitored.
The passenger spent about an hour in the bathroom CNN reports.
Now reports the man was up and down to the bathroom several times, with the last being about an hour in the bathroom.
The White House has been briefed.
CNN analyst says that air marshalls will generally knock on a bathroom door after more than five minutes when someone is in there. It raises red flags when someone is in there that long.
'Disruptive' passenger prompts 2nd alert on Detroit-bound jet
Oh, I hope it was just someone who was really sick and that's why he/she was in the bathroom.
