I thought I would share something I found online.
Those of you that are interested, opine away.
I am a Zen Existentialist and have been, admittedly in an un-zen like way, allowing certain concepts to percolate into my philosophical thought-paths these days.
(flip it on over)
Specifically, have been discussing string theory with my physicist husband and have been ruminating on the oscillating nature of the "universe" and the possibility that we DO live again (tho I still do not feel on the intuitive level that even a 100% exact duplication of my spatial-temporal self qualifies as MY living again).
I feel very strongly that reality is absolutely subjective, absolutely solipsistic, and non-transferable in any way that our human biology can mediate.
Core to my beliefs is that we are locked into subjective reality because perception is absolutely subjective. Our perception, by definition, can not transcend the biological means we use to perceive. (Am a life scientist. Organic perceptions that give way to psychotic episodes are, which interesting in some ways, not useful metrics or experiences of reality for this attempt at a generalized view of the human condition)
In my general and desultory gogglage - I have come across the following school of thought and a figure:
