Now that I have your attention, I have a conundrum to resolve. As some of you may know, I recently returned to college after a 20+ year "sabbatical". One of the courses I am required to take for my major is Public Speaking. So far, I have done fairly well; my professor uses my work as an example to the class of how she wants things done.
Here is my problem:
This week's homework is to read a speech given by George W. Bush and analize it in an unbiased manner. While I know I am capable of analyzing the speech (as long as I have a barf bucket handy,) I am afraid that I have a snowball's chance in Hell of doing so in an unbiased manner.
What I need, beg, and implore of my fellow Kossacks are suggestions on how I can accomplish this Herculean task. After all, I spent the past 8 years avoiding this man's speeches like the plague...I am afraid that my head my explode if I have to read one, and, worse yet, I'm afraid I will fail on this assignment, thus ruining my GPA in this class (which is my absolute favorite.)
Please, my friends, help a girl out here.
I appreciate it.
