A post on media coverage by MakeChessNotWar stirred a little debate about the use of the phrase
busty anchorwoman
not wanting to cover that debate again, but it spark my idea for this post as I recalled the Daily Show doing a segment called News I'd Like to F@#k with Samantha Bee.
It was good to watch again today.
I decided to go back a pull out some stories I remember from the Daily Show from the last 5 years or so about the media, politics and race. Link to them below the fold. Let me know what your favorites are...
From the 2004 Republican convention coverage:
Words Speak Louder than Actions
or this gem from the same week:
Zell on Earth
From one of the 2004 debates:
Campaign Correspondents
Several of Larry Wilmore's skethes on Race are some of my favoirties as well:
Black History Month
remember the Michael Richards Incident
or Larry's first contribution on the topic Lazy Racism
but back to politics and the media here is a gem from jon and Rob on the President and the Press in 2005.
or a quick little public service message about torture, abu ghraib and so on The Less You Know.
And then there are the bits about Karl Rove testifying before congressEight Men Out.
Of course there is the attorney firings scandal coverage in As Goodling as it Gets
And don't forget Jon's visit to Crossfire covered in the story Your Show Blows
if you do not remember the glory of the crossfire appearance here is Jon's appearance on the show it is 15 minutes, the part you might remember comes at about 12:20 in but the whole thing is worth viewing.
i could post hundreds more I am sure, but this group is hilarious, I hope you enjoy...let me know what your favorites are....
